After discovering a valuable treasure, Quique gets himself into a huge mess. His mother schemes up a plan to free her son of his wrongdoing. To manage this, she must quell Quique’s stupidity as well as the cunning of the police officers in charge of the case. 　　Shot outside Valdivia, this short film premiered in 2004. It was produced by Retaguardia Films and Jirafa and participated in more than 30 film festivals, winning a dozen awards. It was transmitted on Chilevisión, released at theaters and on DVD in Chile, and on television in France, Japan and the United States. It was nominated for the Altazor Awards in 2005 for Best Script, competing with three feature films, something never-before-seen in the history of the award.
